Yummy Cookies

Hey guys! I just want to share my simple but yummy chocolate chip cookie recipe. Actually it’s not originally my recipe, I just got and learned it from my cookery teacher (hi ma’am I just want to borrow your recipe, I hope you don’t mind hihi). I also tried to bake it at home, and promise guys it’s super delicious not because I am the one who made it haha. After I tried it and the result was good I feel like I’m a professional baker, you know the confidence was like yeah. Because my family keeps on complementing me that’s why HAHA! I already made it as a business during Christmas break but exclusively for my family and friends only. It looks like this

I am not that confident to sell it on public, but as of now I’m working on it. I have received a good feedback from my relatives, and they told me to make an online business, why not right? But not know hehe. Okey we’re getting too far. So here’s the recipe of my chocolate chip cookies.

Ingredients
:
½ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

½ cup packed light brown sugar

½ cup granulated sugar

1 large egg, at room temperature

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour

1 Tbsp. cornstarch

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1 ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup lightly toasted, coarsely chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:

1. Cream the butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar together well. Beat in the egg and the vanilla.

2. In a separate bowl, sift the flour with the cornstarch, baking soda and salt. Add this to the butter mixture and stir until blended. Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans (if using).

3. Using a small ice cream scoop or a tablespoon, scoop spoonfuls of dough (about 2 Tbsp.) shape them into a ball and place onto a parchment lined baking tray or a plate. Chill the scooped cookies for at least an hour, or once chilled, the cookies can be frozen for baking later.

4. Preheat the oven to 325ºF. Arrange the chilled scooped cookies onto parchment-lined baking trays, leaving 3 inches between the cookies. Bake for 15-18 minutes, until browned around the edges. Cool the cookies on the baking tray. If baking cookie dough that has been frozen, arrange the frozen cookies on the baking tray and let them thaw for 20 minutes at room temperature before baking as above.

As I’ve said above it’s not my recipe I just want to share what I learned from my cookery class. I just want to give you an advice that be aware of the time, if the cookies get the golden brown color removed it from the oven and let it cool. Because if you don’t it might be hard to bite (That’s the result of my first trial haha!) I hope you enjoyed it. Try it I swear it’s good.
